Oak Meadow Event Center is located in Ohatchee, AL, and is an absolute DREAM. They consider themselves an elegant farmhouse wedding venue in northeast Alabama and every word is true! As a family owned venue, Mark and Joy Acker, have put their all into making Oak Meadow a unique and unforgettable place for couples to get married.
Mark had purchased the land to resell it, as he usually did with most properties. However, something was different about this one. As they worked on clearing the land Joy quickly realized that she had other plans for it. She envisioned a white farmhouse in an L shape and just began to draw it all down. Needless to say these plans quickly took off as they met with a builder and things started coming together. Now sitting at the foothills of the Appalachian mountains lies Oak Meadow Event Center in all its glory.
Joy put so much thought into every little detail and included her experience of planning her own daughters wedding in the process. The all-white farmhouse, tall windows with natural light galore, 600 square foot bridal loft, spacious grooms room, inside and outside ceremony options...you name it she thought of it. You will fall in love over and over again with this venue!
